未来を生きる力を育む

2000年のOECDの報告書、PISAの序文に、以下の通り書かれています。

How well are young adults prepared to meet the challenges of the future? Are they able to analyse, reason and communicate their ideas effectively? Do they have the capacity to continue learning throughout life? Parents, students, the public and those who run education systems need to know the answers to these questions.

若い成人が未来の挑戦に対処すべく、果たして充分に準備されているだろうか。彼らは分析し、推論し、自分の考えを意思疎通できるであろうか。彼らは生涯を通しての学習を継続できる能力を身につけているだろうか。父母、生徒、広く国民、そして教育システムを運用する人々は、こうした疑問に対して解答を知っておく必要がある。

子どもたちが、潜在的な可能性を伸ばし、世の中に貢献するために必要な能力を身につけ、豊かで幸せな人生を生きて欲しいと願っています。そのために、子どもたちが身につけなければならない力は何かという問いに対する答えを探しています。

この問いに対するヒントとなるアイディアや考え方を紹介します。
